Tests of the unique offer for unlimited LTE internet from T-Mobile

Postauthor: Sqius94 » 2020-06-19, 16:50

In this topic, from time to time I will post a report on the use of the now unavailable home internet offer from t-mobile.
If anyone knows how I came into possession of the "sim" with this offer, I already describe it: In 2017, my grandmother was looking for an alternative to the constantly falling Netia in her village, at that time the above-mentioned internet offer was promoted on a large scale, I checked whether there are their BTSs in the area and I checked their range from a smartphone with their card (yes, I know I repeat myself often), the initial tests were successful, so the contract was signed together with the Huawei B525s-23a router for a symbolic zloty. Until last year, I used the LTE Internet from the biggest plus ***Censorship*** what I had, poor coverage, constant funnels even without exceeding the limit, last year I signed an internet contract with Play with a limit of 200GB per month, I was really happy with the speed in my location until then. Let's face it, most of the users of this forum use these 200gb in a few days, maybe two weeks. At the beginning, these 200GB was enough for me for a month and even stayed, the moment came to format the computer and it began. Recently, these 200GB were enough for me for a maximum of 2 weeks, where I am not the only one who uses this Internet, buying another 100GB for PLN 25 every now and then was not an option because I would go bankrupt. Totally by accident, grandma mentioned whether her internet contract was about to end, etc., the contract passed on the same terms for an indefinite period, grandma uses very little internet around 15/20GB per month and I just switched with her. Thanks to this turn of events, I have this real unlimited internet with the Huawei B525s-23a router.
As I wrote above, I will be posting the results of this internet every few days, the whole experiment is aimed at checking whether the network is really so loaded or artificially "cut off" by the operator. I have this internet from today and at 16:17 without forcing the bands I got the results of 29,09 Mbps download, 19,44 Mbps upload 24ms ping no lost packets, the SINR parameter was 3dB at that moment and the RSRP was about -101dBm.
In the next updates, so to speak, more network parameters will be given along with the BTS number I use.
At the end of the whole test, I will post a table with all network values and speeds here, but I don't know how long to run the tests? A week, two or a month?
I apologize in advance for the style I write, but I am dyslexic and sometimes have problems with putting together sentences or putting commas.

And today (June 20.06.2020, 1800) it works quite decently in AUTO mode and on 2600+XNUMXMHz aggregation (in total, only these two bands can be aggregated). Today's speeds:
3:20 am aggregation 1800+2600MHz Ping 23ms, download 43,13 upload 24,38Mbps 0% packet loss, SINR 18, RSRP -98, RSRQ -4.
Time 18:06 AUTO mode Ping 24ms, download 35,89 upload 25.63Mbps 0% packet loss, SINR 5, RSRP -96, RSRQ -10.
18:10 pm aggregation 1800+2600MHz Ping 24ms, download 26,73 upload 26,33Mbps 0% packet loss, SINR 7, RSRP -96, RSRQ -11.
Conclusions: I think, or rather, that the modem itself aggregates these two bands and sometimes it does it better and sometimes worse, I will add that all measurements were made when connecting to the same BTS. In general, once in a while it is worth breaking the connection and connecting again (not restarting the modem) because we can get better results.
