Redmi Note 8 Pro + Orange
Many people may think that posting a smartphone review here is a mistake. However, this is not the case. Recently, I discovered that this smartphone has a unique feature, something that flagships costing several times more than the Xiaomi product do not have. Namely, you can choose LTE and 3G operating frequencies in it. All this is possible, just because it has a Mediatek processor that everyone was complaining about. So if someone has any smartphone with this processor, they can use such a trick. For this to work, you must first unlock developer mode, and then enter the following code: *#*#3646633#*#*. And everything is visible in the Band Mode tab https://images90.fotosik.pl/496/581c29e087728492.jpg
3G 900Mhz

LTE 800Mhz

LTE 1800MHz

LTE 2100MHz

LTE 2600MHz

LTE aggregation 1800+2100MHz

I think that my discovery can help many people who have a problem with unstable coverage or low internet speed on their smartphone

The fact that equipment with mediatek allows you to choose the frequency is nothing new. But something like this makes me laugh: "I recently discovered that this smartphone has a unique feature, something that flagships costing several times more than the Xiaomi product do not have." A super feature so needed I don't know. If he had an X55 modem from Qualcomm, the speeds on these bands would be much higher. Apart from the comprehensive use of the transmitter from all technologies. Also, really don't make fun of yourself and don't compare this product to phones for several thousand.

Certainly such a Samsung is faster, provided that the location is favorable. In the case of being on the border of the range and heavy load on the transmitters, it will not be so rosy
I also have a second smartphone with Snapdragon and here where I live, this system has failed all the way. It kept switching to LTE800 which works like a nose bleed and nothing can be done about it.

Well, not exactly Samsung. It is based on a different modem. There are also defective copies. What Snapragon do you have on your phone? I understand min 865?

so that you don't have to enter the code every time, I recommend these apps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Go.EngModeMtkShortcut&hl=pl&gl=US
it forms a kind of shorthand for this band selection mode

And the Netmonster application by chance does not have it in the options (under three dots?). Because in Samsung there is "Samsung Network Settings", and there you can choose bands for aggregation.
