ZTE WF830 - Suspiciously low signal level and hanging problem

Postauthor: coconut lol » 2023-01-10, 21:23

Hello, I bought a ZTE WF830 router today for a bargain money. The problem is that it somehow "poorly" catches the signal and hangs, during the suspension it is impossible to switch the router to the manual mode of connecting to the network. How to fix it? PS: Is there any way to get smartadmin password? (ZTE has not been issuing them since March 31.03.2022, 451) This question is especially for @matekXNUMX

Does anyone know anything about this router and has not encountered a similar problem?

I met. I was struggling with this router for several months. At first I thought it was the fault of the operator, so zte also wrote to me. I checked different frequencies, different cards and the fault is on the device side. When I tested the card, there was no network traffic and only one user, I waited a week and it hung up, usually with a higher load, when the family used the Internet, it hung up even several times a day. The only thing that helped was restarting the set. The situation is like in your 3rd photo: Downloading and Uploading MCS is then always 0, in the statistics a few kb/s download (if I remember correctly), the range is there, the status is connected, but there is no internet.
What's more, it's not going to reset the odu with a needle (it didn't work for me). I came to the conclusion that the router is operational, the fault is in the idu, it falls into a loop and nothing can be done, either restart the whole thing, or disconnect and reconnect PoE odu-idu, then it will also cut off.
The set is to blame, you won't do anything about it, I just packed mine and I'm sending it back in a week, I wonder how it will go with a complaint after half a year of torment with a hidden defect. I probably messed with 5 play consultants, one even cared, I wrote down the hours in which it jams, unfortunately his and my work was in vain.
Who did you buy from at a bargain price? If not write it here.
